In Week 3, Trent DeCraene started the game off strong for the Blackhawks, returning the opening kickoff for 81 yards! This put the Hawks in a great scoring position, allowing Eli Kolb to run it in four yards within the game's first minute. On Tri-Central’s opening drive, Parker Williams sacked the quarterback, causing a fumble that Kolb recovered. This put the Hawks in a great scoring position once again. Nolan Page ran 7 yards for a touchdown. The score remained stagnant until the fourth quarter when Zach Bales rushed for his first touchdown. Sheridan’s defense continued to pressure Tri-Central, leading sophomore Chance Spencer to intercept the ball and return it for 43 yards. Using this momentum, Bales scored the final touchdown of the game. All four of Owen Bell’s point-afters were good, putting the final score at 28-0. On top of him rushing for two touchdowns, Zach Bales had a strong defensive game as well, earning him Legacy Images Player of the Game!
Clinton Central, coming off of a 48-6 loss, look to earn their first win of the season and end a now 17-game losing streak. The Bulldogs offense is led by Levi Jacobs, averaging 37 rushing yards a game. Haiden Walters leads the receivers with 28.5 yards a game. In this conference game, the Hawks must continue to defend both the run and passing game well, as well as come out strong offensively the way they have the past weeks.
